Clean Beauty Products
These days, it’s hard to know what clean beauty means. While there is no universal standard for “clean”, generally, clean beauty products are made without ingredients shown or suspected to harm human health. Fortunately, there are various checks and balances that can be used to check to see whether a product is clean.
EWG.org: The Environmental Working Group is a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization dedicated to helping you live your healthiest life. This is a great resource to check cosmetic ingredients’ safety.
MSDS: Material Safety Data Sheets list the hazardous ingredients of a product, its physical and chemical characteristics (e.g. flammability, explosive properties), its effect on human health. This documentation is very important for us to review before using an active ingredient in our formulas.
Our ingredient standards are truly clean, meaning better ingredients deliver more potent skincare.
🌱We source all ingredients from small-scale, natural suppliers.
🌱We screen ingredient documentation for processing method, purity, cruelty free practices, and that they are vegan.
🌱As much as possible, we use unrefined and organic plant oils to keep vitamins and natural compounds intact, thus fortifying our skin with needed antioxidants and nutrients.
🌱 While there may be EWG “orange” ingredients used in limited quantity, staying true to EWG green during product development is very important to us.
